Thanks for taking the time to look at my 2000 Honda CR-V LX 2WD. I am the only owner and my wife has driven all 140k miles herself. It is a great compact SUV that gets excellent gas mileage, usually outdoing my sedan. It consistently has the best ratings for small SUVs. On epinions.com, it has a 4.5/5.0 rating from 69 owners or previous owners. The 2.0L 4-cylinder provides ample acceleration, though I can't say that it's close to the power of a 6-cylinder. I would guess you could tow a small boat or trailer with it, but I've never had a need and don't have a trailer hitch on it. The car has been parked in the garage nightly. We are only selling it because we have a new addition to our family, and we wanted space to carry 6 adults plus the baby. Now to the nitty gritty details that are most important when buying a used car. It's not in mint condition. I doubt many 2000 model year cars are in mint condition. It has never been involved in a major accident. The only time it has hit anything was when my wife backed out of the garage and hit my parked Infiniti I-30 which was only about 4 feet away from the garage door. It cracked the grill on my Infiniti, but it only dented in the bumper of the CR-V. It was not an eye sore, so my wife was okay not getting it fixed. I guess this was about 2.5 years ago. You can see a close-up of the driver's side rear bumper in the last photo in the first column. I was able to pop it back out by reaching underneath with my hand. There are only two other visual blemishes that I'm aware of. The windshield has two chips from rocks flying up from trucks on the interstate. I've taken close-up pictures of both of them and added a little white arrow so you could see them. The first one happened in 2000, less than a month after we got the car. The other one happened in 2001 or 2002. They have never cracked or gotten bigger from the cold. The other blemish is light scratches on the driver's door. I have a close-up of them in the photo section, as well. I don't know what caused it. The car has been maintained with oil and filter changes, as well as most of the factory suggested tune-ups. It is due for a timing belt change. I bought expensive Aquatread tires (can't remember the model number) because they were safer than the original tires. They're noisier than the factory tires, but they're excellent in the rain. The battery was changed for the first time (I think) about a month ago, so you'll have a brand new battery that should last you another 100,000 miles or so. Two years ago I gave my wife a Sony 10-disc CD-Changer and had it installed at a local stereo place. It is located under the driver's side seat. It comes with a thin remote control, but we rarely use the remote. Besides the typical things that need replacing (tires, brakes, and windshield wipers), we haven't had anything fail or needed replacing on the car. It has been as dependable as the reviews say. Hopefully I've answered all of your questions. If not, please don't hesitate to email me at bradley@1car.net or call me at 678-588-2452. I'm located near Griffin (Spalding County) and would be glad to meet you somewhere in Griffin to show you the car. Please only contact me if you are seriously interested in the car and have funds to pay for it. Thanks.
